Huge work in progress :)

Laika’s earliest memories were of Gridania’s quiet woods. Her father, an Elezen, taught her the names of plants and especially how to mix them up to create potions and various concoctions. Her mother, a Sea Wolf who had traded the deck of a ship for a quieter, peaceful life, filled her head with stories of fierce winds and distant shores that stirred Laika's heart and soul. Her parents were often away on trade business, but they always left behind a promise that someday, when Laika was a little bit older, she would join them on the sea, to see the views and the seas her mother so vividly described. That dream made the forest feel both like home and like a waiting room, with each day she was growing more desperate to leave it behind.

She grew up without siblings, so she learned to make her own fun. The Wood Wailers came to know her by name, usually because they had to gently scold her for climbing somewhere she shouldn’t or for convincing other younger children to join some schemes. She was lonely sometimes, some kids found her funny looking, but she didn't pay them mind, she was just buying her time, waiting for her life to truly begin. Then the news came, and it ended before it could start. A storm. A ship lost. No survivors. The world she knew, built on the foundation of what her parents promised her, collapsed into nothing the moment they died.
The grief was a physical weight. Not only because suddenly everyone in Gridania pitied her and treated her as this vulnerable child who lost her parents, but also because of other children that previously picked on her finding yet another thing to pick at her. The orphan, the kid without parents - the half-giant who got forgotten by world, even going as far as calling her cursed. On top of that, every path in the Twelveswood, every market stall, echoed with the ghost of her parents’ laughter. She couldn’t stay. She couldn't take one more insult, one more painful memory. Acting on a pain so sharp it felt like instinct, she packed her father Gleaner's bag. She sold everything else that wouldn’t fit and bought a ticket to Limsa Lominsa, her mother’s city. It was louder and more overwhelming than in her mother tales, a crashing discord of sailors and thieves. Lost in the crowd and confused, her purse was cut from her belt in seconds. With that, something in her broke. It wasn’t about the money, she could have always get more later. It was about one more thing being taken from her. One more thing out of her control. She ran after the thief, her heart hammering, not knowing where she was going, only that she had to get it back, no matter to costs.

Before she realized, she already stumbled into a dim, lantern lit building that felt more like a messy home than a guild hall. Sudden silence, the moment she opened the doors wide open, cutting thru the smell of booze, caught her off guard. It was already too late to step out, now that she got attention of entire guild. The master, a man named Jacke Swallow, looked at her sharply. He didn’t see a mark or a nuisance nor the so-called half-giant. He saw a tall, heartbroken girl, shaking with adrenaline and loss. Instead of a cold steal to the neck, he offered her something unexpected, a bowl of stew and a dry place to sleep. It was a simple kindness, and it was everything Laika needed. In return, she offered him her loyalty.Laika trained with a focus that came from having nothing left to lose. She learned the quick, quiet steps of a rogue and the sharp language of blades. She found a strange comfort in the discipline, a way to quiet the storm in her head. Avoiding Yellow Jackets was her daily routine, she grew to love it, it may have been a slow mundane life to the naked eye, but it was hers - something she could finally control in her life. She was building a new self in this loud, salty city. But then another call came, this one from somewhere deep inside. A whisper in her dreams, a pull from the very star itself - Mothercrystal. It was terrifying. It was huge. But her old life was already gone. She had already lost everything. What did she have to fear? She chose a new name for this new calling. Laika Heart. With that, she stepped out of the quiet shadows of the guild and into the blinding light of an life she always craved for, somewhere deep inside. The life grander and tougher than she got promised by her parents. Something truly build by her own.

Work in progress (sorgy)Assault on Lakeland (Ostall Imperative)
As Lakeland trembled under the siege of sin eaters, Laika Heart, the resolute Warrior of Light, known as Warrior of Darkness in this world, returned to the Crystarium from a prolonged journey through the Rak'tika Greatwood. She, who had just vanquished the light warden that plagued the lush forest, rushed in as fast as possible to Lakeland upon hearing the terrible news. Ebony, on other hand, a former Crystal Brave turned ally of the Crystarium, had been there from the beginning. Activating barriers, aiding the twins, and standing strong against the upcoming threat - Ebony had become an integral part of the city's defense.
The battle for Ostall Imperative had reached a critical point, with the Crystarium and its people on the verge of being overwhelmed. Laika arrived at the height of the chaos, just as it seemed the relentless tide might finally break their resolve Ebony, exhausted from defending the city, felt a wave of relief and hope wash over her at the sight of the Warrior of Light. The fight was brutal. Sin eaters swarmed Lakeland like a plague, their sheer numbers threatening to drown the defenders. In the thick of it, Laika and Ebony found themselves fighting side by side. Laika’s blade cut through the enemy with fierce precision, while Ebony’s strikes echoed in harmony, their weapons a deadly duet against the onslaught. After what felt like an eternity of battle, they finally prevailed. The Ostall Imperative was reclaimed, the tide of the conflict turning in their favor. As the dust settled, Laika and Ebony exchanged a glance—one heavy with the weight of the lives lost and those they couldn't save.It wasn’t the first time they had fought together. Ebony remembered well their battle at the Steps of Faith, though Laika had long forgotten. Yet here they were again, years later, united on the First, sharing the burden of war once more.

( Don't mind me , some info dumping below, still need to figure out before the garlemald part )After witnessing the fall of Garlemald and it's people firsthand, she chose to walk the path of a reaper. The allure of it's arts initially drew her in, but wielding the scythe proved to be more taxing than she anticipated, taking a severe toll on her health and mental stability, even before forming a proper pact with her Avatar. After taking advice from her comrades to leave the soul stone of reaper behind, she made an unexpected shift to sage, seeking to restore the balance and solace that reaper has taken from her. As the events of Endwalker unfolded, she decided to take up the reaper soul stone again in secret before her comrades, before setting off on her journey to the stars, just in case.
(this part needs some more oomf!!)
In the battle against the Endsinger to stop The Final Days, the strain of the battle became too much. Their sage abilities failed them as her sage nouliths shattered under the relentless onslaught, forcing a desperate return to the reaper's power. When she thought she has won after defeating Endsinger, with barely any strength left, there turned out to be still one more battle left.

Duel with her friend, her enemy. The one who crossed stars just for the chance to settle the old score. Zenos yae Galvus. During the duel with Zenos, Laika secured victory, but it came at a a grave cost: she had to sacrifice her arms to fulfill a pact with her yet unsatisfied avatar, a decision born out of necessity rather than choice in seek of enough power.

After returning home from saving the world, Laika, strangely enough, found comfort in the Avatar's company and withdrew from others, not wanting to be seen in her weakened state she found herself isolated. Adjusting to such a drastic change was challenging and she rarely, if ever, left her room. She wouldn't even let in her closest of allies, not even the one closest to her heart - Ebony - partly because she didn't wanted to be a charity case but also partly because she felt like she had failed her. Once revered as a hero of Eorzea and Hydaelyn's chosen, loved by many for her accomplishments, she now felt stripped of her former glory, her confidence shattered by what has happened to her. She felt as powerless as she did back in Gridania, before her tale was even spoken.

Days turned into weeks of self-imposed isolation until Cid Garlond, a trusted engineer from Garlond Ironworks and a longtime friend, reached out to her with an idea he had tirelessly worked on—a second chance for Laika in the form of prosthetics, meticulously crafted with the hope of restoring her to her former prowess. Initially hesitant, she eventually agreed, maybe influenced by Cid's unwavering confidence but maybe also driven by a deep yearning to go back into the adventure.
Adjusting to life with prosthetics remains a daily struggle, with each day presenting new obstacles to overcome. Yet, fueled by a resolve to reclaim her former life, she decided to embark on a new chapter as an adventurer once more, taking Hades advice to heart:
"Expand your horizons. Go forth and seek discovery. Some of the civilizations in the reflections will surprise you. As the bearer of Azem's crystal, you may consider your duty to see at least that much."
